The first country to adopt Christianity

Filed under: Cosmopolite's Blog — Tags: — Mira @ 4:53 pm June 24, 2009

Have you ever heard that Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity. That happened in 301 AD in the reign of king Trdat III. For many centuries Armenia has been a very religious country and despite all the foreign invasions and destructions caused by them many churches were built. The Armenian type of churches is unique aтв you can such churches only in Armenian communities.

Saghmosavanque monastery, Aragatsotni marz;

Geghard temple, Kotayqi marz;

Noravanque monastery, Vayoc dzori marz;

Haghpat monastery, Loru marz;

Sanahin(means: older than that one-Haghpat) monastery, Loru marz;

Kecharis, Kotayqi marz;

St Zoravor’s church, Yerevan.

But this is not all. There are numerous other churches in Armenia. The architecture is very interesting and unusual but I like Gothic churches more.

Today I took the last exam this year!!! I don’t believe I’ve finished my first year in university… Finally after 3 weeks of hard work I can sleep quietly. Before the exams we had tests for a week, which are endless…
I want to congratulate me and all my friends on this significant day.
The results are quite good, I have scored very high results (5 points from 5).
So I’m gonna have a rest for two days, then restart my French classes, as I’m going to Paris in July with Mum… Paris, je t’aime…

If we or our friends go abroad we bring or ask them to bring us symbol-magnets of those countries. Here are some of them:

                                                          from Cyprus;

                                                      from Madrid;

                                                      from Salzburg;

                                           from Toulouse;

                                                      from Prague;

                                                      from Barcelona;

                                                                      from Moscow.

The results of a long week

Very often i think that time passes too quickly, but when you want a week pass quickly it doesn’t happen. This week was a very hard one for me, because I had lots of tests(the last in this term, it’s awful. It seems to me I went to the university only yesterday, ooh, I now I’m finishing my first year (one more proof that time passes quickly)) + we had to prepare a advertising campaign for a new Armenian brand. Our team managed to do it, and we scored the highest results.

Another important thing happened: my favourite Russian singer (whom I’ve loved very much for almost 7 years) SERGEY LAZAREV became the BEST ARTIST of Russia on 05.06.2009. I want to say that this is really fair, as he works very hard to achieve his goals, his songs are great. And he is SO beautiful and handsome. I love him very much.

And as you’ve already guessed (haven’t you???) that’s Sergey on the photo.

Web-site for downloading his songs: http://sergey-world.com/

See you!

That’s something new!

Today I went to a toy shop. I saw a very interesting funny thing. My mum said it was a bed lamp. Then we were told that it was a … PHONE!!! Its upper lip is a receiver! I loved it greatly. If my room was a Barby-style I would certainly buy it. But … I don’t like that style, I prefer serious things.

The day I left school

Filed under: Cosmopolite's Blog — Tags: — Mira @ 4:56 am

Last year this day I left school. I thought that I would miss school very much, but now I realize that I only miss 4 teachers-that’s all, though I always loved it. I remember these days with the feeling of some pleasure, because now I’m already a student, and then I was getting ready for my numerous exams…(next month we are having 4 exams as well..,but it’s not the same). So here is one photo of the last day in school…
